Alice L. Parker, Vice President
of eLearning Innovations, has a wealth of practical experience
with distance education, system implementation and management,
production and evaluation, and user training and professional
skill development. Her career spans more than 30 years, and she
has developed specialization in effective visualization and
instructional design strategies for distance learning
environments. She was the Teletraining Manager at the Center for
Interactive Programs, an internationally known research center
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. Parker has designed
and taught professional development programs to train users to
effectively and confidently use various forms of distance
education. Additionally, Ms. Parker has administered a statewide
medical distance education network, has been the lead designer
in a variety of technical training projects, and served as
consultant to businesses and educational groups getting into
distance education. Ms. Parker has written a number of articles
about distance education and teletraining, and co-authored a
book entitled “Making Connections: Tips, Tactics & Strategies
that Work for Distance Educators.” Ms. Parker has a
Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master's Degree in
Instructional Technology. She was inducted into The
Teleconference Hall of Fame in 1997. |
