History
of the Organization
The Teletraining Institute was founded in 1993 on
the premise that even the best technology will not allow
educators to achieve the full potential of distance learning
unless those educators are appropriately trained to adapt their
teaching styles and methodologies to the medium. To date, The
Teletraining Institute has trained more than 10,000
professionals through its publicly offered programs, customized
training, and curriculum that are offered at a distance.
In 1999, a new service unit,
eTraining Soultions, was launched to serve the ever-growing
demand to support clients’ initiatives to move to web-based
learning. In 2004, this business unit was established as a new
company – eLearning
Innovations, Inc.
The companies are headquartered in Stillwater,
Oklahoma, and have a state-of-the-art training center at St.
Michael’s, an upscale business development on the north edge of
the community.
In addition to the training services,
eLearning Innovations is
well-equipped and highly experienced in providing any time,
any where training solutions. Not only are educational
institutions offering courses via Internet, businesses and many
other organizations are also finding that Internet and intranet
applications solve many of the problems associated with making
training and information available to their employees and
clients. Employees and clients can take advantage of available
Internet/intranet-based training and education at any location
where they have connected equipment, at their office or even at
home. In addition, they can participate in these courses at
their convenience with asynchronous programs or at pre-arranged
times for synchronous training. The growth in this area
promises to be enormous.
eLearning Innovations
is now offering value-added courses at its St. Michael’s
Training Center as well as consulting services to assist in
course conversions. The training curriculum can be offered at
eLearning’s facilities, at a distance via the World Wide Web,
and also offers customized programs at client sites. The
instructional staff is the most experienced and knowledgeable in
the field. Together, the instructional team has a broad and
in-depth understanding of what it takes to teach at a distance
and can translate that in a forthright and practical manner.
